8.5/10 by the way there is no strict reason to these numbers. awesome japanese restaurant with sushi. the local ingredients are smashing great, the others are ... decent/good. i liked the light, family-friendly atmosphere. the sake selection was not good, which was fine. tea - the tea they offered was meh okay. 5/10. the dessert-finishing tea was awesome 10/10  omakase part 1 otsukuri from kito menu. yummmzor.  omakase 2 - assorted sashimi. fat cuts. i normally don't like clam, but wow.  omakase 3 - soup. that shiitake mmm.  omakase 4 - assorted nigiri sushi. the fresh water eel (anago) sushi = the MVP. SO good. as usual the non-fish seafood in maine is great. the lobster, scallop are awesome, things i normally don't like. extra sushi/sashimi orders. toro 7/10. had better. had worse.  tamago - 9/10. a tiny bit too sweet. but really good. i had to get another anago.  miso soup - 5/10. a bit disappointi...

6/10. good breakfast/brunch fare. good for the hankering and price, but not spectacular. i would come again if i lived in the area.  eggs florentine. an eggs benedict dish. recommended by the waitress. the sauce flavor is a bit overpowering... the potatoes... were ok. i was referred to get the cinnamon bun pancake which i did. given my other dish, the waitress recommended the kid size. it was still big.

apparently a chain... overall good, 7.5/10. places that do the "somewhat hard/crunchy throughout the crust and bottom" are hit or miss. this place was a hit. left - the special of the day... uh turkey mashed potato something right - recommended ot me - mashed potato, bacon, scallion. i also had a cheese slice... sauce was too sweet, but it was good. good texture

lobster roll this is one of the best lobster rolls i have had. and i have had plenty bad ones... the lobster was good, the bun good, the butter... could have bit a smidge less but was good. i was referred to try this. i didn't get anything else here.

this is one of my favorite japanese / sushi places. 9/10. it would be a 10 if their ingredients were superb. some of it is local and fresh, but some not as great. i am being picky. i always go here when i am in portland lunch bento box came with a miso soup (before though.) the tea they give here is superb. I should ask what brand it is. super toro roll unagi roll
